The spiritual fruit and characteristic of individuals acting together with joint identified collective minds for a specific divine purpose organized and maintained as in a corporate form. Example is the Church. However, in today’s environment, it can be anywhere, such as, my home or zoom. Wherever you find two or three gathered in the Name of Jesus’ and His grace, love, and power. The corporate prayer of The Body of Christ is important connections to tap into. As scripture tells us, one can chase a thousand but two can chase ten thousand. In other words, the more you align with like-minded individuals, the more powerful the effect. However, if the truth be told, you only need one in agreement with the greater one, Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He is the great I am, living within you that is greater than he in the World. Prayers can be just as effective when you aline with The Word of God to bring about synergy, a supernatural force greater than your natural capability.
A sure victory in your prayers come from praying the Will of the Father aligned with your desires, His timing, and your heart filled with fruits of the spirit. Praying for yourself and others require you to put on the full armor of God to lay whole of the Will of the Father in Heaven. If I could just touch the hem of His garment, I know I will be made whole. To be whole is full maturity. Go deeper until you are rock solid in faith, and fear not what man can do unto you knowing the greatness in you is greater than the systems of this World.
Principles of Prayer
Positions of Prayer: Prayers are multi-faceted in meekness and quietness of spirit and encompass the desire for conscious and intimate communion with the Holy Spirit of God. There are primarily five physical positions for prayers noted in the bible and can be of importance to your focus and concentration on the Lord: 1) Sitting, David went into the tent then he sat there and prayed, 2 Samuel 7:18-29; 2) Solomon stood with arms toward heaven in faithful obedience; 2 Chronicles 6:13; 3) Solomon knelt down and prayed; 2 Chronicles 6:14. 4) Standing in meekness of humble forgiveness, Mark 11:25, of what others have done to you; and, 5) Everyone everywhere to lift up innocent hands toward Heaven and pray. We lift up holy hands high above the mind of man’s will to show complete surrender to God’s Will, 1 Timothy 2:8. However, the physical position matters less without a mental and spiritual position of concertation, faith, clarity, righteousness, love, peace, and a heart of forgiveness. Short prayers are also just as effective. Note: Jesus tells us in Matthew 6:5-8, to not talk on and on like show-off or people who do not know God. Their words are as a rhetorical meaningless variation of styles at the expense of thoughtfulness.
Praying In the Name of Jesus, means you are acknowledging Jesus Christ as the Son of God, that Christ has lived, died, and rose again for us, and the Son sits in power and authority on the right hand of The Father in Heaven. No man comes unto The Father except by way of His Son, Jesus Christ, the anointed one and His anointing. I am praying “if it’s your will” as I view life from God’s perspective. God’s love for us is in relations to the degree of Christ in us, the hope of Glory, not the degree by which we are like Him. The Glory comes as we walk in the fruits of the spirit: Love, self-control, peace, joy, patience, faithfulness, goodness, kindness, gentleness, and long-suffering. When we end our prayers with Amen, we are actually agreeing with the Holy Spirit and Word of God. Amen is a Hebrew Word that stems from the word aman, which means certainty, truth, and verily. In Christianity, we pray by ending our prayers with Amen to mean: “So be it”, “Truly”, “It is so”, and “So it be”.
Prayer of Agreement also known as Corporate Prayer: Do not forsake the assembling of other believers speak to The Body of Christ. Acts 1:14 & 2:42, Matthew 26:28. The assembly of other believers is often the Church; however, it can be any meeting place where two or three gather together in the Name of Jesus. The apostles often met together and prayed with a single purpose in mind. The old church communion together regularly to learn, break bread, and pray together. The power of agreement honors the Lord our Father; edifies the mind and enlighten the hearers with the Will of God; bond the believers together in spirit and truth; and encourages, peace, and comfort the hearts of each as the Holy Spirit builds our love and concern for others. “This is the temple where you have chosen to be worshipped. Please watch over it day and night and listen when I turn toward it and pray. I am your servant, and the people of Israel belong to you, and so whenever any of us look toward this temple and pray, answer from your home in heaven and forgive our sins.” 2 Chronicles 6:20-21 CEV.
Prayer of Salvation: This is a repentance of Sins and confessing that Jesus Christ Is Lord. As I receive and confess Him as my Lord and savior, I thank our Father that the price for eternal life has already been paid on the cross of Calvary. I can now receive His life as a living sacrifice fit for eternal life and good work in service for the Lord. Jesus Christ is our Lord, but everyone has a choice to receive Him or not for Life eternal. I encourage you to choose life. Heavenly Father, I come to you acknowledging that I need a savior, I ask you to come into my heart and forgive me of my sins. I renounce Satan and all His legion armies of death and defeat. I confess that Jesus Christ is the Son of a living God who died on the Cross of Calvery, and rose again to life on the third day. Thank you, Father, for saving me and paying the price for my salvation. I love you, and I receive you as my Lord and Savior. In Jesus Name, Amen.
Intercessory Prayer: Intercessory prayers are acts of faith in God on behalf of others’ needs. Because Jesus interceded for us before God, we too can intercede for others, 1 Timothy 2:1, “There is only one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.” Praying for others start with a heart of love for God and His people; allowing the Holy Spirit to guide you according to The Word of God. The fragrant prayers of the righteous are something powerful to reckon with. Pray asking God to give us this day our daily bread, Matthew 6:11. The more freely you give to others the more freely the Holy Spirit flows back to you for service. I like to say when you take care of God’s desires, He will take care of the desires of your heart. Your faith in God knows He is the all-powerful, and He hears you when you pray. Your faith is the victory.
Prayer of Faith: Prayers offered in faith, a belief of Jesus Christ as our savior, James 5:15, will heal the sick. When we pray for the sick, we must believe in our heart that Christ has already paid the penalty for our infirmities and transgressions, and by His strikes on the Cross of Calvery, we are already saved from our adversaries. God can do whatever we ask for in faith, Mark 11:25, and we receive what we asked for when we pray. All things are possible for someone who believe, Mark 9:23, and pray the Will of God which is His Word. I am reminding Him of His promises, strengthening my faith in Him, and praying in confidence of His power to do. A part of our faith in action is to trust God’s sovereignty even if healing occurs after death as we know it because He knows best. Death is life in a new dimenision in which God may choose to heal a person. Praise God that He hears you, John 10:27, and has already made a way of escape wherein you will be able to bear it. The Lord All-Powerful is with us. The God of Jacob is our fortress.
Prayers of Praise, Worship, and Thanksgiving: These prayers are a condition of the heart, and have the power to open Heaven’s door for receiving His Holy Spirit. A thankful heart of gratitude and songs of praises, Psalm 95, strengthen your soul and prepares you for your divine purpose. I praise God because I am grateful for the downloads of His spirit empowering me, for all I am or will ever be, and for all His many benefits. A grateful heart is open to receive the goodness of the Lord in the Land of the Living. In worship and adoration, we humble ourselves under His mighty power and in the presence of the Most Holy God. Worship is the highest form of prayer because of my complete surrender, adoration, and intimate communion with His Holy Spirit. Worship is empowring us with courage, strength, and even more revelation of who He is, and who we are in Christ. When I praise God for all His benefits, I cannot restrain from worshiping who He is. My worship further enlightens my soul and spirit with truth and righteousness for His divine purpose. So, I listen to think God’s thoughts with Him and receive His revelation, life, light, and love. The more I worship and praise Him, the more inspired I am to do His Will, Psalm 46:10, be still and know that He is God. I praise God that the hidden truth is not revealed to the wise and educated people, but He gives His wisdom to the ordinary people, Matthew 11:25, the humble and meek, and that’s His mercy. “Lord All-Powerful, you are greater than all others. No one is like you, and you alone are God. Everything we have heard about you is true. And there is no other nation on earth like Israel, the nation you rescued from slavery in Egypt to be your own….The Lord God All-Powerful rules Israel, and David’s descendants are his chosen kings,…”, 2 Samuel 7:18-29 CEV.
